Don’t just take our word for it. Why not read what some of our wonderful clients across the North West say about Thompson House Equine Vets.
Ron is such a goof and now 2 stone lighter
Thank you to all the team at Thompson House Equine Vets.
I honestly wouldn’t trust anywhere else with my horses
Home and healing well
From the moment of arrival, to saying goodbye, Thompson house are professional, friendly and real horse people. The horses in their care are top priority and everywhere is immaculate and they accommodate every horse. When you walk into the stable block it’s very calm and relaxed. The stables are also beautiful! They go above and beyond and have even sourced in my horses usual feed when he had an unexpected overnight stay to ensure his belly stayed happy. They have excellent facilities including a lovely indoor for the rainy days and even have a cafe attached for a super breakfast!!
The receptionists are incredible. Whatever time of day, they are extremely patient and are very good at communicating what is going on/updates with your horse to give you piece of mind and comfort. Bradley has communicated with my insurance provider (Petplan) on behalf of me nothing has been too much trouble for him. He has answered many questions regarding how the insurance works and which forms I need to fill out.
The work up’s/diagnostic information done with my horse Bobby has been very practical and efficient and I feel throughout the process Rob has been realistic and has given me a good management plan and guidance. He has lots of time for his clients and answers my list of a million questions even though he is a very busy man! He works beyond the office hours and has even sent emails at midnight of X-rays/scans. He is completely committed to the practice and a vet who truly cares. My farrier and Thompson House work as a team regarding Bobby’s shoeing and have discussed what could be improved/X-rays ect and thanks to all their hard work Bobby is now SOUND.
I recommended Thompson House Equine Vets to all of my friends as I truly believe there is no better practice. There is nothing I could fault or pick at. If only everybody was lucky enough to have a vet practice like Thompson House. Thank you Rob and the team.
Massive thankyou to Rob, Bradley and team for looking after Jock last week, I was kept upto date with all tests and findings, a very personal professional service I’m glad on my decision to come to Thompson House Vets thank you all so much
Thank you for organising a brilliant clinic. We had two riding lessons and two off-horse sessions, including rider Pilates and mindset coaching. We travelled over from Sheffield and so glad we made the trip. We left feeling really confident and were over the moon with how it all went. The day was well organised, a positive atmosphere and fantastic facilities available. There is also a nice cafe serving quality food too. I’ll be coming back again for the next one. Thank you
A lovely gesture from some of our clients this week.
Thank you for your kind words and beautiful cakes & chocolates.
Thompson House Equine Vets Huge thanks to Rob for the marathon Friday of teeth and vaccinations for all of our horses. Amazing service as always! East Liverpool RDA
Highly recommend Rob and his team, nothing is too much trouble for them, the whole team are so caring and helpful and have worked their magic on my boy, who has been suffering lately with gastric ulcers and some lameness issues due to an extensive racing career! The facilities are immaculate always, and I wouldn’t want Peanut in the care of anyone else !

May is veterinary nursing awareness month!!!
I am really proud of my veterinary nursing routes and still have a huge interest in all things veterinary. In particular wound management and medicine! I just love treating a good wound and I’m fortunate enough to have the tools to improve healing and manage many ongoing veterinary conditions.
I started vet nursing over 20 years ago but have actually been around and worked with horses for about 34years!!!
I still spend some hours in practice most recently Thompson House equine vets ( the most lovely practice ever!) and I will be going back again in the next few months
Happy Birthday to our team member Bradley Beardmore
Lovley delivery of strawberry cheesecake from
One of our lovely clients Rebecca Hardman!
Beatrice was admitted to THEV for intensive medical management of a indolent corneal (eye) ulcer.
This treatment included placing a subpalbaebral lavage system to enable more frequent administration of medication. In addition a motorised burr was used to debride and remove the under run areas of the cornea in order to promote healing.
Now she is back home well and fit doing what she loves best and aiming for the Regionals/Nationals dressage competitions
